Just to let everyone know that I arrive Nairobi, Kenya and everything is fine here. The city is very modern and there are numerous internet cafes here! It is raining outside so we just hop into one. The computer that I am now using even can read Chinese!!! I arrived the city yesterday at 2 and there were people from VICDA, the volunteer programme, to pick us up at the airport. We settled down at the hotel the ppl from the programme booked for us and decided to go for walk in the city afterwards. We sticked to the main street as what people and the travel book advised us but as it was Sunday yesterday, no shops were open and there were just a few people. There is nothing to see at all in the city. We are bored pretty quick - oh I am going to stay here for a month. We even went to a library today!! (Many young africans are studying in the library and there is hardly any vacant seat! And no one is sleeping!!!) And guess what, we are running out of sites to visit so we will go to Kenya University after we are done here. I did not take many photos up to now because I dare not to take out my digital camera on the street. Whenever I do so, all people are looking at me. Also, it seems that we are the only travellers in the city, contrary to what we experienced in other cities that there are always backpackers. And there is no worries about water as there are many supermarkets (Mr. Yip insisted that I should mention the name of the biggest supermarket nearby is called Nakumart) that I can buy bottled water whenever I want.

終於等到今天, 可以放下report呀, 新聞稿呀, 真真正正讓自己有個假期.

自從confirm了這次肯亞之旅後, 一直想著真的要起一個自己的blog, 讓身在遠方的我, 可以時不時看下朋友仔的留言, 不至於太過寂寞. 結果當然是拖拖拖.

今天本來八點上機, 可是航班突然誤點了 ,忽然多出個空閒時間. check emal發現義工計劃為我而設的online journal也可以用了, 所以坐言起行地在那裡寫了一個短短的pre-trip journal.  有個朋友仔看了, 然後告訴我他不能回應, 所以我又坐言起行地起了這個blog (正確點說, 是坐言起行地請別人替我起個blog... :P)

不過有個難題, 肯亞的電腦一定不能看中文, 那時update這個blog大概很麻煩.  無論如何, 我一定會盡量update義工計劃那個journal (因那個是英文的), 然後嘗試將那邊的journal搬過來吧.
